The Judge in Barack Obama’s aunt’s deportation case has pushed it back until February 2010 due to a “packed schedule.”

Girl, you’ve got 10 months. Start placing calls to the White House. Send him letters. Stand outside the gates and shout at him in a high-pitched screech. You deserve better than this.

King Obama met Queen Elizabeth II on Wednesday, in what was apparently a pleasant and entertaining encounter. The Obamas gave the Queen a personalized iPod with video of her visit to Virginia and Washington last year as well as 40 Broadway show tunes. In return, she and husband Prince Philip gave the Obamas an autographed portrait.

Barack Obama, or rather his drivers, had the graciousness to park his limousine in a remarkably convenient place: the entrance driveway at Buckingham Palace. In what was surely a humbling experience for the Messiah, they were asked to move the limousine so that other VIPs might actually be able to arrive in an equally glamorous fashion. To be fair, Obama simply isn’t used to not receiving top-billing everywhere he goes.

Apparently, Michelle Obama also breached protocol by touching the queen, when the two of them slipped their arms around each other. This is considered a major faux pas, apparently, but I think it borders on irrelevancy.

And just for the record, one of the songs on the iPod was “The Party’s Over” – I just wonder if Obama realizes it.

On a controversy related to none other than the spotted owl, the Obama administration is backing away from a Bush plan that was meant to be a compromise between the logging industry and the environmentalists who wanted to protect the creature. The enviro-nuts challenged this policy in court and declared that Bush would have the blood of an entire species on his hands, as well as a guilty conscience for the rest of his days. The timber industry also challenged the policy, claiming that it was an unnecessary restriction on their business.

Environmental-cases are thrilled with this news, celebrating that Democrats “value sound government and scientific integrity.”

Here’s to you, vital industries. In the eyes of the liberals, animals and plants will always be more important than the human species.

When Republicans in Congress (and sentient beings across America) offered scathing criticism for Barack Obama’s massive and dangerous budget, he challenged them to provide an alternative. Last week, they stepped before the American people and provided the Democrats with more fodder to mock them, offering no real details on what their plan was. Today, however, they have provided us with a real alternative.

In their own words, it “curbs spending, creates jobs, cuts taxes, and controls the debt.”

Here’s how:

1. A freeze of federal government funding at fiscal year 2009 levels for five years
2. $3.1 trillion in borrowing over the next five years, versus $4 trillion by Democrats
3. Major changes to the tax code – Individuals earning <$50,000 and couples earning <$100,000 would be taxed at 10%; for those making more than $100,000, the rate would be 25% (This would be an optional system – taxpayers could still file under the current system if they wished.)
4. Rescinding most of the February 2009 “stimulus” package spending in 2010
5. Total government spending in 2010 plan under House Republicans – $3.28 trillion, versus $3.55 trillion under House Democrats
6. Rejection of the cap-and-trade system; instead, there would be an expansion of domestic exploration and production of energy.
7. Corporate tax rate lowered from 35% to 25%

It’s time for the mainstream media and the low-life Democrats to stop portraying the Republicans as the “party of no.” They have offered up real solutions, and although they might not go as far as necessary in every arena, it seems to be the best that can be done at this time.

The Democratic Congress and the President will no doubt dismiss this plan, but it will be a grave mistake. November 2010 is not that far away, friends, and you can bet that we’ll make sure that every voter remembers the solutions that were put out there. We could be saved from economic ruin, if only the people would open their eyes.

So, as it turns out, the Justice Department may not have been totally honorable in their efforts to get former Senator Ted Stevens (R-AK) convicted for corruption. They are now requesting that the indictment, which they fought so desperately for last year, be dismissed and the conviction tossed out. Apparently, prosecutors failed to hand over notes of an interview which revealed that one of their witnesses contradicted himself while under oath at the trial.

At the end of October, when he was declared guilty, Stevens said: “It’s not over yet!” He was totally right. This is just shameful. They destroyed the career of a long-time statesman. I won’t pretend that he was the ideal politician – he had a penchant for earmarks and a few other unsavory characteristics. But dammit, the man didn’t deserve to be destroyed for political reasons.

A special election to fill the seat of now-Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) in NY20 is too close to call. Democrat Scott Murphy is currently ahead of Republican Jim Tedisco by approximately 65 votes. Apparently, the victor won’t be declared until on or after April 13, when military and overseas ballots will be counted.

This might seem like somewhat good news for Republicans, that the race is competitive, but unfortunately, no one had anticipated Democrat Murphy to perform this well.

It would be great symbolism for Republican Tedisco to win – it would represent a shifting tide against Barack Obama’s economic policies and perhaps put Blue Dog Democrats in Congress on guard regarding their futures. If they don’t stand against economic ruin, they don’t deserve to be re-elected to their seats in 2010.

This wouldn’t be amusing or noteworthy at all, if it weren’t for the fact that Secretary Clinton, while in China, made it very clear that human rights violations would not deter other negotiations and talks. I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry anymore.

Ever the oblivious optimists, the Obama administration believes that they will be able to remedy the severe problems with the group. Sure, why not? They’re doing such a cracker-jack job with fixing everything else.

Onyango’s request is being reconsidered under a little-used provision in U.S. immigration rules that allows denied asylum claims to be reheard if applicants can show that something has changed to make them eligible.

Come on, Barack – do something to get her asylum. It’s bad enough that your brothers lead absolutely wretched lives in squalor without any intervention whatsoever from their extremely wealthy and extremely powerful brother.

Does Obama really believe that amidst all of the horrible and dangerous decisions he’s made that granting his aunt asylum in America would be the tipping point?
